Lunds & Byerlys engaged Evergreen Creative to fabricate and install a coordinated set of branded signage elements spanning multiple departments and storefront zones. The goal: reinforce wayfinding, unify the in-store brand experience, and create high-visibility departmental moments that read clearly from a distance and hold up to daily traffic and continuous operation.
Each sign plays a distinct role in shaping the shopper journey. Large-format lettersets establish first-read identity; suspended and canopy-mounted features mark specialty zones (e.g., sushi, microbrew, prepared foods); and secondary placards carry typography and finishes that echo the Lunds & Byerlys brand system. Together, these layers guide movement through aisles, deliver quick recognition at decision points, and keep the store’s visual language consistent across locations.
Key fabrication components included:
Dimensional lettersets (various sizes) with precise kerning, clean edges, and concealed mounts
Department identifiers & feature signage (e.g., microbrew, sushi) designed for long-sightline readability
Canopy-mounted assemblies with integrated structure for safe overhead installation
Standoff and rail systems enabling clean reveals and easy service access where needed
Template & hardware kits standardized to streamline field install across multiple stores
We translated brand artwork into production-ready files, then milled and finished components for durability and color fidelity under mixed retail lighting. Letterforms were fabricated from aluminum and engineered plastics as appropriate, with finish systems selected for scuff resistance and easy cleaning. Mounting strategies were coordinated per substrate (tile, drywall, wood cladding, and canopy frames), using concealed fasteners and backing plates to maintain crisp sightlines. Department features were pre-assembled where possible, reducing lift time and minimizing floor disruption during install windows.
The cohesive system improves navigation and elevates the overall brand presence—clearer wayfinding, stronger departmental identity, and consistent detailing from store to store.
