Production Shop Supervisor
Purpose
The Production Shop Supervisor is responsible for immediately overseeing the production process and production staff. They are a steward of resources -- people, materials, and tools -- and contribute to Evergreen’s success by ensuring that resources are used effectively and efficiently.

Duties & Responsibilities
People
Leads a daily kick-off meeting each morning
Assign Production Staff members to projects
Match talent and abilities with project needs
Direct the work for maximum efficiency
Hold Production Staff accountable for maintaining project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
Involved in the hiring, appraisal, and release process of each employee they supervise
Along with Owners, evaluate and document Production Staff members’ contributions for performance reviews.
Provide skills enhancement coaching to Production Staff as needed
Keep Leadership informed of any and all activities impacting productivity
Studio
Accountable for the organization, safety, and cleanliness of tools, equipment, and production areas
Daily maintenance of a clean and safe work environment
Completes daily safety checks on tools and equipment
Ensures maintenance of tools/equipment and vehicles as scheduled
Is familiar with and implements the policies, documentation, and reporting of employee accidents and/or incidents
Provides safety in-services on a quarterly basis
Supplies and Materials
Maintains the inventory of supplies and materials; re-orders with buyer as necessary
Works with the Estimator/Designer to determine project materials needs
Interfaces with sub-contracted vendors as needed
Projects
Works with the Project Manager to ensure that projects are delivered on time and budget by correctly allocating materials and human resources; ensures that design intent is maintained and notifies/troubleshoots with the Project Manager as needed.
Ensures that all projects meet Evergreen Creative quality standards
This position is a hands-on, building position in addition to the supervisory duties
Skills & Experience
Supervisory experience, at least 5+ years preferred
Resource management experience, including vendor management
Advanced construction skills
Advanced technical and creative production skills
Able to read and interpret blueprints
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Budget and project management skills
Qualities & Other Considerations
Integrity and responsibility, calm under pressure
Cannot be colorblind
Able to lift 80 lbs or more
Comfortable with heights
Will be working with paints, solvents, dust, and noise
Overtime and travel may be required, but rare
